Jets Overhead Victoria, British Columbia quintet Jets Overhead return with a new digital EP, Bystander, via Vapor Records. Culled from the band's recording sessions that produced their sophomore full-length, 2009's No Nations, the six-song EP features four new songs, an alternate acoustic take of the title-track and a remix of "Fully Shed", off No Nations, courtesy of Kevin Hamilton. Jets Overhead have kept up a busy schedule the past two years, touring around the world, while in the U.S. performing at Coachella Festival, Sasquatch Festival, Bonnaroo and the Bridge School Benefit. Their songs have been broadcast via KCRW and WXPN, and have appeared on "House", "Bones" and "Pretty Little Liars". Bystander continues to showoff the band's skill at creating a hazy drift of vibrant dream-rock. In fact the strength of Bystander is impressive. These tracks are not mere b-sides, but simply did not fit the flow of No Nations, a record the band wanted to keep streamlined and tight. Bystander will keep long-time fans excited and longing for the band's next full-length, which Jets Overhead will begin working on this spring, and is also an excellent introduction for new fans as well.
